On April 26th, Dencare (Chongqing) OralCare Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Dencare), the parent company of LESENING, released its annual report for 2023 and its first-quarter report. In 2023, Dencare achieved operating income of 1.376 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.76%. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 141 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.97%.
In the first quarter of this year, Dencare’s revenue was 361 million yuan, an increase of 5.22% compared to the same period last year; net profit was 37.3161 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.60%.
In terms of products, in 2023, adult toothpaste products of Dencare recorded revenue of 1.074 billion yuan, an increase of 2% year-on-year, accounting for 78.06% of revenue. Revenue from adult toothbrush products was 155 million yuan, accounting for 11.30% of revenue, with a year-on-year increase of 14.75%. Children’s toothpaste and children’s toothbrush recorded revenue of 72.546 million yuan and 32.077 million yuan respectively, with year-on-year increases of 0.62% and 20.79%.
It is worth noting that Dencare’s revenue from electric toothbrush products and oral medical and cosmetic care products increased significantly last year. Among them, revenue from electric toothbrush products increased the fastest, with a year-on-year increase of 129.48% to 11.5461 million yuan. Revenue from oral medical and cosmetic care products increased by 47.59% year-on-year, reaching 27.9351 million yuan.
In terms of specific business channels, the distribution model remains the main source of revenue for Dencare, with revenue of 995 million yuan, an increase of 2.09% year-on-year, accounting for 72.32% of revenue. The e-commerce model increased by 14.47% year-on-year, with revenue of 316 million yuan, accounting for 22.98% of revenue.
Looking ahead, Dencare stated that in 2024, the company will build a new pattern of industrial development, adhere to technological innovation, and achieve new breakthroughs in overall product technology. At the same time, it will strengthen brand building, create a new height of brand image, and empower professional and youthful images.
